Only July 12, 2000 Advance Paradigm, Inc (a PBM) announced its agreement with Rite Aid Corporation (a drug store chain), to acquire 100% of the equity in PCS Health Systems, Inc. PCS, a subsidiary of Rite Aid for 1 billion dollars. The new name will be AdvancePCS and will be the nation's largest provider of "health improvement services". McEachran's Hinckley Drug has been a provider for both Advanced Paradigm and PCS and will continue to provide for the new parent company AdvancePCS. |
