Letter to the Editor - Pitchfork guys 2

I have put up a message board that can be accessed from our website www.hinckleydrug.com. I do not sell anything on our website so I have nothing to gain and there are no ulterior motives. I think this will be a much better forum to discuss our local politics. Rather than waiting a week for a response to a letter to the editor, we can post public messages at will. This message board can also be a very useful tool to learn the public’s opinion on a variety of issues. Not everyone can go to the meetings that are held, and the computer is a much more convenient tool to voice an opinion.

To my pitchfork toting friends: I am sorry that you are collectively offended and I really didn’t mean to “poke” fun, but had you read my letter more carefully you would have realized that I was not comparing the groups but only the name of the group. I would suggest that you collectively grab your pitchforks and c’mon over to the message board where this could be debated in a more timely fashion. Remember, I am not taking sides. I still have no opinion regarding the issue(s) your group has with our mayor. Nor do I have an opinion to the validity of why the pitchfork guys even exist. I do have an opinion about the method you have chosen to express your apparent displeasure with our mayor. The pitchfork folks may have very legitimate issues, but again in my opinion, you are doing yourselves a disservice by going about it the way you are. I have offered to the group constructive criticism and the group can accept or reject that criticism. Perhaps if my criticism was taken seriously, you would have all pitchfork members listed at the bottom and not just a tip of the iceberg.
