Q: What do you mean "no refills" I've been taking this for years! A: The Minnesota Board of Pharmacy states that a prescription may not be refilled beyond a period of 1 year from the date it was prescribed. What this means is that at least once a year we need to check in with your physician and renew your prescription. Often times no appointment is necessary. If your bottle says "no refills", this means that legally we must contact the prescriber and request that additional refills be added to the prescription. This process typically takes 1-2 business days. If you are like many people you perhaps dont think to call the pharmacy until you are out of your medicine AND out of refills. Don't worry! Our policy is to provide you with a few day's supply to get you by until your doctor calls us with additional refills. There typically is not a charge for this service either. We simply subtract the amount given from the amount ok'd by your doctor. |
